Description


  • Know Emergency Shutdown and Fire and Gas Detection systems

  • The maintenance and repair of all electronic and electrical equipment including (not limited to):

  • High and low voltage systems

  • Radio equipment and navigation equipment

  • Internal communications equipment

  • Engine room equipment

  • Generators and motors

  • To report any hazardous situation or equipment failure to SEIT as appropriate

  • Carry out routine tests and checks on equipment as required by SEIT

  • Monitor spare parts inventory related to the area of responsibility

  • Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management System

  • Maintenance of computer network

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME :


The objective of the post is to ensure the ever increasing workload of the polio laboratory is supported by additional human resource with data management capacity to maintain quality of laboratory data (a) ensure availability of quality, timely, and complete information that guides the surveillance (b) provide a dedicated Data Assistant to Polio lab that relieves other technical lab personnel to focus on specimen processing . (c) ensure proper documentation of all case investigation forms and lab results.


DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Under the overall guidance of the Maiduguri Polio Laboratory Director and over all supervision of WHO Data Assistant, the staff will carry out the following specific task:

1. Establish, maintain and up-date Polio laboratory databases pertaining to AFP/contact and lab result

2. Perform data harmonization and cleaning on all AFP data received using the WHO Data Quality Check and harmonization Tool.

3. Ensures weekly submission of the polio lab data to the director to share with AFRO as per the agreed timeline

4. Provide regular feedback on any data harmonization issue to the concerned zone and state.

5. Track and obtain missing or incomplete data/reports and provide feedback to relevant levels.

6. Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly analysis feedback on key polio laboratory indicators

7. Create and secure back-up copies of data in the lab.

8. Perform other activities as required by WHO Representative


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Diploma in Computer Science, Statistics, data management or related field with additional data laboratory training.


Verification of Educational qualifications:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

To contribute with the Industrial Ecology RVP and Biomass Director to the definition of the Biomass strategy, through a detailed analysis of the market: Available streams, customers, tonnage, price levels, competitions, competing technologies, legislation, for our different biomass business models: forestry maintenance activity, agriculture waste, captive plantations.

Responsibilities

  • Accountancy management: he/she ensures the correct project accountancy and all accountancy documents filing. He/she does this by monitoring the accountants or by directly performing the accountancy, in case there was no accountant.

  • Expenses planning and monitoring: In collaboration with the Project Manager (and the logistician if present) he/she makes the project’s financial planning. He/she monitors expenses, in accordance with the budget. He/she provides the accountancy data to the Project Manager so as to allow him to monitor and plan the expenditures and to request funds.

  • Contract modifications and administrative documents: He/she collaborates with the Project Manager in the elaboration of contract modifications (including the budget), and in the preparation of all necessary  projects documents.

  • Financial reporting: In coordination with the Head of Mission and with the Project Manager he/she prepares the intermediate and final financial reports for the projects under his/her responsibility.

  • Budget preparation: Support the Head of Mission and Project Managers in budget preparation as well as proposals development.

  • Staff management: He/she plans the work, supervises, and collaborate to train the staff of the project’s accounting-administrative area upon request by the Head of Mission. Upon request her/she collaborates to staff evaluation activities. She/he will be the focal point of the complaint mechanism and the code of conduct

Qualifications


  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in large organizations.

  • At least 3 years’ work experience in a similar role within a international non-governmental organization (NGO), donor or multilateral agency.

  • Substantial experience working with International NGO’s, UN agencies and networking and negotiating with authorities.

  • Very strong financial analysis skills and an extensive practical experience working with financial tools, highly proficient with excel such as using pivot table, developing macros, etc.

  • Ability to motivate and guide staff working in a complex conflict environment, preferably experience from an African context. Previous experience in Nigeria is an advantage.

  • An excellent interpersonal skills (Good analytical, negotiation, advocacy and communication skills) and demonstrated ability to establish effective team and external relations

  • Experience with capacity building of national staff.

The Team Lead will report to the Head of Department who has the overall responsibility for the administration and execution of the activities of the Listings Regulation Department by ensuring that listing applications meet The Exchange’s listing requirements, ensuring compliance of listed companies with The Exchange’s listing regulations and enforcing the listings rules in a manner that is fair efficient and transparent.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive applications from companies and government and assign to officers

Assign officers and where necessary, attend facility visits of new companies seeking listing

Review draft appraisal and ensure that they are of high standards

Ensure that appraisals are circulated to DH and CEO 10 days before QCN

Forward approved appraisals from CEO to Council Secretariat for circulation to QCN members within the prescribed time frame

Facilitate Regulatory meetings with issuers

Prepare Memo for EXCO for migrating companies to Premium Board

Present appraisals to QCN and ensure that recommendations to QCN are in line with NSE’s objective and overall best interest of the market. Follow up with Council

Secretariat to ensure decisions of QCN are circulated to applicants and implemented by other stakeholders as appropriate

Document knowledge of Unit’s Role and function via process flow

Facilitate Graduate Trainee Programs and ATS sessions and Interviews

Coach new hires and Graduate Trainees within the Unit

Carry out the streamlining of listing process with SEC by researching and aligning with best global practice

Track new regulatory rules and policies and align them with NSE processes and procedures

Build and maintain productive relationship with key regional stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient regional stock availability and distribution and deal with related issues and problems.

Receive stock that will be returned from stores and ensure appropriate action is taken where stock needs to be disposed or returned to suppliers after discussion with planning department

Resolve all administrative issues

Identify and highlight any process enhancements that will improve the TAT of the business

Assist with any queries raised by internal/ external auditors

Provide relevant information for material planning and creation of BOM (Bill of Materials)

Liaise with demand planning to identify stock levels and the inbound movement of stock

Maintain optimum inventory levels by monitoring inventory on a regular basis, perform periodic reconciliations and request for replenishment on time

Monitor the performance of Administrator, Inventory

Schedule physical count of consigned inventory and calculate consumed quantity

Drive the stock counts (either cycle or physical) in terms of statutory requirement

Ensure obsolete, redundant and scrap stock is disposed of in the appropriate manner by liaising with relevant supporting departments

Impose Best storage and inventory preservation methodologies to ensure fit for purpose use

Ensure that warehouse housekeeping is well maintained at all times and stock put away to correct locators as defined on system

Ensure effective execution of day to day operations at the Opco and resolve operational issues

Improve productivity and quality through leading practice initiatives

Participate and provide inputs in project status meeting

Timely notification of escalations to the Manager

  • The programme works in three focal states in Northern Nigeria: Kano, Kaduna and Jigawa. In each of these states, the programme works in three focal LGAs. The Results, Monitoring and Evaluation Adviser will take overall charge of steering, advising on, and management of the Monitoring & Evaluation activities of the programme.

Specific activities include (but are not limited to):


  • Ensure the development, evolution and recording of results against the M4D logframe focusing on the identification of measurable indicators and targets and milestones, the use of appropriate data sources, the recording of accurate baselines, and results. This includes implementation of the Monitoring and Evaluation Learning (MEL) Strategy and Plan.

  • Ensure that monitoring data is shared with implementation team, and facilitate programme learning processes to support evidence-based adaptation.

  • Development of annual M&E costed workplans (including accompanying narrative), and ensuring a high degree of accuracy in forecasting

  • Providing necessary support (including documentation) to the external Independent Evaluation Manager (IEM), and ensuring that the findings of IEM are incorporated into the results of the programme and M&E reporting.

Qualifications


  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant M&E experience at a senior level, preferably in a governance or accountability programme.

  • Good grasp of monitoring and evaluation principles, frameworks and tools (Theories of Change, Logframes etc) strong conceptual and technical skills to shape information gathering and analysis frameworks and reports.

  • Good data coordination and handling skills to cope with version control, data gathering timelines and reporting requirements.

  • Good leadership, management and interpersonal skills to communicate requirements to others and to enable their effective engagement in monitoring and evaluation procedures.

  • Experience of working with DFID programmes will be an added advantage.
